About Deep Inder

During my long career as a teacher, I have taught English as a Foreign Language in some government schools in Bhutan and colleges in India and Oman. For several years, I examined candidates from various countries for their proficiency in English speaking and writing. I was then (2002-2018) working for an international company that tests candidates all over the world to ascertain their level of English in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Presently, I am a writer, public speaker and a qualified yoga teacher (RYT 200.) I have written many articles for different newspapers and have also published some short stories. My first book, The Invisible Path was published in 2008. The late Mr. Peter Whitbread, British Actor & Writer (Emmy Award, Writing) loved the book and encouraged me to think of taking up writing as a career. Since then, I have written books (both fiction and nonfiction) on various subjects under the penname, ‘Deepi.’ I am presently working on my first book of short stories.

Besides writing and public speaking, I also work as the Chairperson of The Trinity School and The Lawrence School of English (both institutions are in Hoshiarpur, India.) Although my work as chairperson of these two institutions is very different, due to my years of experience as an examiner, I train teachers for both institutions and conduct mock IELTS tests for the students.
